Plein Air Paint Out at the Crossings
On Saturday morning just Signa and I went to Gymboree, so that Marc could get ready for this:
"Plein Air Paint Out at the Crossings"; Hacienda Crossings, October 2, 2004 ; 2 - 5 p.m.
Members of the community will be invited to bring their easels, paints, and palettes to the plaza for an afternoon outdoor painting marathon, aided and abetted by a team of local artists, Marc Mascot, Bruce Ruark, Lynne Shephard, Pat Smith, and Diane Taasevigen, who'll circulate among them, offering advice, encouragement, and counsel. Local Artists and Community. More here.
It was awesome. Everyone was wowed by Marc's work. Since it was really close to our movie theater, he got a lot of traffic. He had a lot of people hanging around his table while he sculpted. Signa and I walked around and even did art with him (she painted with water on the cement).
Sunday we went to Cindy and Paul's house and got together with Uncle Ricky and Auntie Barbara and the whole family. Also, GRAMPA WAS THERE!!!
Uncle Ricky flew to Washington and then they drove down through Oregon and stayed overnight with my dad. Grampa had tears in his eyes when he told me about seeing his 2 sons together again. I guess they talked all night long. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall!
We had a great day with all the kids. Signa never ever stopped grinning (except once when Deborah cried and I was holding her- Signa got jealous). She did however have nightmares all night so I wonder if it is from the game they played where they all growled at her and chased her around the backyard.
