Signaisms

I've been neglecting writing stuff down, but here are a couple things I'm remembering:

• Upon waking up in the morning on Saturday, Signa smiles a wondrous
loving smile at me and says, "Momma, do you remember me?"
• She messes up two words consistently: "Malwart" and "Sedert."
That's "Walmart" and "Dessert" to us laymen.
• Her Teen Titan figurines are the only "people" allowed to shop at
the beloved Barbie Pet Shop. It's weird to see Robin buying tiny
mice and hear him say (in Signa's tiny voice), "Ahhhh, they're so
CUTE."

That's all I can remember for now. I'll write more down tonight as I remember them.

We joined a homeschool preschool art class that meets every other week. We went two weeks ago and had a great time. This week's art class is at our house, so it should be a lot of fun. It's been hard with Signa as she sees two schools when they go to the park and all she sees are a lot of kids playing, so she says she really wants to go to school. What she really wants are a lot of kids around all the time, so we are going to try to get her out more in structured playgroups with kids that won't be running off to school. The homeschool group we belong to has park groups every day, but they are all at 1pm, which is Signa's nap time. We hope to join with more preschoolers and make our own park times. I'm going to bring it up at art class this week. See if maybe they want to do park play one week and art class the next. I'd have to give up the car every Thursday, but I think, for the most part, it would be okay.

What else? We are working on Signa's King Tut costume. So far, we have pretty much nothing. A pillowcase and Marc found a cool tree skirt that we can use as a neck thing. Nothing for her head, though. Good thing Marc is an artist.

What other cute things has my girl done? Pretty much everything. She is just amazing to me how smart and cute and smiley she is. She's turned into a very good girl. Never thought I'd be able to say that after the years of her NOT SLEEPING AT ALL.
