6 Inches
Dear New Kid,
How in the heck did you get to be 6 inches already?!?! I don't want you to take this wrong, but when I was pregnant with your sister, I:
a) wasn't sick every moment, and;
b) wasn't in the midst of the usual end of the year work mess and holidays.
So I had a lot more time to obsess on pregnancy. And I knew at every moment about how big she was.
I lost track of how big you were at about the bean stage and figured you were about a walnut or two right now (18 weeks along on Friday). Imagine my surprise when I checked the websites and you are six freaking inches long already! I'm so sorry, New Kid.
I'm hyper focused on the ultrasound date of 12/16/2005 where we get to find out what kind of parts you have. And what your name is. 10:30am. I cannot wait.
I also think I feel you moving a bit, but I'm not certain, so I don't talk about it yet. Of course, I thought I was losing my mind, because how could I feel A WALNUT OR TWO MOVING AROUND IN THERE??!?! But you aren't my little walnut any longer. Sniff.
Anyway, I'm sorry, New Kid. It's not that you aren't super very important; just that I've been preoccupied with work and vomit. I do love you very, very much and in a very different way than I love your sister.
Love,
Momma

I love these New Kid updates! I didn't know you when you were pregnant with Signa, but it seems you're now saving me the time. You are also a much more consistant blogger than myself. Shame on me!
