Monday Update

I had Friday off work and we went to Caden's house for gingerbread house decorating with the great playgroup that adopted Marc and Signa. The kids (and moms) decorated the houses and chatted and had a wonderful time.

This weekend was our town's holiday event stuff. There was supposed to be snow in the fountain on Saturday, so we went home from dance class and got all warmed up with boots and mittens and even a coat (Signa usually refuses coats). She was so excited for the snow and then there wasn't any. They didn't find a sponsor for it, so it was cancelled. All weekend long, "Ahhhhh. There's no snow." And then pouting.

Saturday night was the holiday parade and tree lighting. It was fun to watch, but darned cold and crowded. Sunday we just hung around the house and did stuff for Christmas.

Also, we spent a lot of the weekend redecorating the Christmas tree. Why, oh why, didn't we wait until January to get a kitten??!?!?!

Today I had another dr appointment to check on my weight gain. 4 pounds, so the Ensure and Thanksgiving diet are working. Gotta keep it up and all else is fine. I discussed all my aches and pains and mostly my constant horrible fears and she made me listen to New Kid's heartbeat for an extra long time while telling me how absolutely fine everything was going. Except the weight, but she said that is no biggie to the baby- just to me.

The AFP test results didn't come back yet, but she said that usually it takes a couple weeks to get to her if everything is normal. They expedite for abnormalities. So hopefully all was well there, too. I don't need to go back for 4 weeks, unless the AFP or ultrasound on the 16th show anything odd. Which I hope hope hope they do not.

So all my fears are calmed. For today. Or at least this moment.
