40/19/22
40/19/22. Nope. Not my measurements (how weird would THAT combination look?!?!). Nor is it 40 divided by 19 divided by 22 (.10). I'm 40 years old as of a couple of weeks ago, 19 years married as of today and 22 years with Marc as of next Sunday. I think we get medals or something.
Over the (many) years, we have decided not to celebrate our anniversaries. We think about them on the day and say, "Happy Anniversary", but neither of us is good at remembering in advance enough to actually do anything, so we just say the words and are amazed at the growing number. We could be grandparents right now without it even being in Guinness as World's Youngest Grandparents. How could that be?
Yesterday I noted out loud that today was our anniversary. By morning, I'd forgotten. So when I was reading mail this morning and checked the date on the computer, I was surprised (again) that it is our anniversary and it's 19 years.
19 years ago. How can that be? It seems like yesterday... and a lifetime ago. All at the same time.
I'm thankful to have Signa and Will, as they make me feel younger. And older. All at the same time.
Will-isms:
Joe. He loves GI Joe dolls. Loves them. I think he might be gay and grow up to marry a real GI Joe guy- that's how much he loves them. Calls them "Die Doe".
Lois Lane-like Lady. He also loves Spiderman. He might grow up and be whatever the Spiderman version of Lois Lane is. That's how much he loves Spiderman. Oh, he is growing up so fast; he no longer calls him "Pie" but now it's actually "Pie Dee". Two syllables.
